Ikea with Baby

Back in May we went to Ikea when I was very pregnant (exhausting!) so that we wouldn’t have to come back with a baby. I just wish we had thought to include a toy storage shelf for the sunroom/playroom. But we went back again yesterday and somehow survived. Having an infant definitely inspired a quick walk-through, though once again we were sidetracked in the kid section. We couldn't resist a few toys that he'll conveniently be old enough for at Christmastime.

We bought the Trofast toy storage system because it’s so versatile and provides awesome child-friendly storage. We are doing 4 units across with a mix of containers in different sizes and colors. It will span 6 feet across under the windows. I was really inspired by the new 2013 catalog layout - it just looks fun with the blue walls and mix of blue, green and white.

Hopefully I can pull off something similar in our sunroom/playroom - we already have blue walls! We picked up four large blue, four medium white and four small green containers to hold a variety of different toys. Right now we only have enough toys to fill one blue bucket, but I know that won't last long...
